At the age of 17 Catharinus originally began with scrap removal in which sparked an interest in furthering into the field. Originally this began with an old pick up truck and his dads hay wagon to transport larger pieces of scrap.
After that he purchased a 35g mini excavator which was the beginning of a career in excavation. Then began skid steer work as well. Slowly the work picked up and things were busy!
Catharinus and Ria purchased a two acre clean up property in Courtland and built a house there to begin married life together. Slowly this place also became to small for a growing business.
We purchased a 107 acre old tobacco farm on Potters Road in Tillsonburg, with a larger shop and yard, we saw this as a prime opportunity to stay in our local community. We have also expanded into the agricultural sector by building a pig barn and beef barn on this property, we enjoy farming in our after hours. Most importantly also spending time with our young children.
Catharinus also joined the Otterville Fire Department, being self employed and available for daytime calls he saw this as a way to give back to the community that has been a vital support to the growth of our business.
Today, our business continues to grow stronger than ever. We are proud of the work we’ve accomplished and the reputation we’ve built within the community. We are also thankful to have a dedicated, hardworking crew of employees who bring skill, commitment, and passion to every project.
